I Believe In // Autumn Walks

Isn't this picture a dream? It's not hard to love fall with this a scene like this.

When making plans with friends, I usually fall into the same routine - either meeting for dinner or Starbucks. While I do have a deep passion for Starbucks, at times it can feel repetitive. A few nights ago, I switched it up a bit and met a good friend for an evening walk, which I now know highly recommend. Of course, everything is more enjoyable when the weather is cooperating, and mother nature just so happened to be brining the big guns that night - we're talking cool, crisp fall air. All in all, it was a refreshing change of pace, and I plan to mix it up more often now (or at least until sub-zero temperatures approach).

I'd love to know, how do you spend time with friends? Anything unique to get out of the dinner-rut?

  1. I'm totally with ya on the "dinner rut"–a lot of times, that's all we have time for considering my friends and I all work during the day and tend to have packed weekends. One fun thing we've started lately is our own "bar crawl" in NYC! We head to a new neighborhood once a month, grab a yummy brunch and then "crawl" our way around that neighborhood (which really just consists of having one drink at each bar until we're too full haha). It's a great time!

    1. I love the bar crawl idea! Especially starting in the morning, since mimosas are one of my favorite adult beverages :) I'll have to round up my girlfriends and schedule our own!

  2. Love that photo! I am so blessed to have the best foliage in the country! Me and my friends are always switching it up! It keeps things interesting and you get to know people in different ways.

  3. That picture is GORGEOUS, and the reason I love fall. My best friend and I started going for a lot of walks together after she had her first baby boy -- it kept him and us happy at the same time!

  4. Oh a walk with a friend definitely sounds nice! My best friend and I like to have "tourist" days where we see popular sights in our city that locals would normally ignore. It's been pretty fun!
