Killer Combos // Leather Jacket & A Feminine Dress

left to right:

Ever since I spotted the image above on the wonderful world of pinterest, I have been smitten with the idea of pairing a leather jacket with an overly feminine dress. So perfect for our upcoming transition into fall, wouldn't you agree?

Killer Combos // Crop Top & Midi Skirt

matching: crop top & midi skirt
monochromatic: crop top & midi skirt
print mix: crop top & midi skirt

Alright, confession time - who watched the premiere of Sharknado 2 last night? Now remember, Santa's watching. The husband and I opted for another episode of OITNB, but I actually was a slight bit jealous when we received a text from his siblings in showcasing their premiere party complete with shark-shaped watermelon and adult-beverage soaked adult gummies.

To the task at hand! Ever since I dipped my feet in the shallow end of the crop top pool, I have been exploring other ways to style the trend. Inspired by Liz's look, I love the idea of a crop top & midi skirt combo. With a midi skirt hitting below the knee, it seems like the perfect balance to a more revealing top.

What are your favorite ways to style a crop top?

Killer Combos // A Blazer & Shorts

one: mango blazer / j.crew tee (my fav!) / topshop shorts
two: target vest / mango top / mango shorts
three: h&m blazer / zara tee / madewell shorts

I realized I had a problem the other day when I instantly bookmarked this post by Kat because I was head over heels for her laid-back distressed denim & blazer combo, and then found I had taken a screen shot of a very similar look posted on instagram, pinned this and this, and finally when I was working on this very post last night, looked up at my bulletin board to find a page I had torn from an old madewell catalog that featured the same blazer & shorts combo. #yikes. At least I'm consistent?

There is something about the pairing of a structured blazer with summer's wardrobe staple that looks effortless and fresh, which makes my little fashion heart sing. What looks do you find yourself gravitating to over & over again?
