Get the Look // Monochromatic Print Mix

Black & White: top /bottom / booties
Navy: top / bottom / heels
Cream: top / bottom / heels

It's no secret that I'm a fan of mixing prints (exhibit a & b), so when this look come across my Pinterest screen, I was instantly inspired. In the past, I have typically mixed prints in a very loud way, combing different color & pattern combinations - but I love the idea of choosing one color, and mixing within.

Above are a few outfits that I think would be perfect to try out the look, what do you think? Up for some monochromatic print-mixing?!

Get the Look: Leopard Booties

Leopard Booties: 1, 2345
I am fortune enough to work at a company where I am inspired daily by what others are wearing - it is amazing people watching - rivals the airport! A few weeks ago, I spotted a girl whose outfit was so good I wanted to steal everything from head to toe. She was decked out in the cutest peter pan collared sweater, leather pleated skirt, and you guessed it - leopard booties!

And thus, my little obsession with leopard booties began. While the print seems classic on a ballet flat, I find that on booties it is a bit unexpected, and has the ability to freshen up a go-to look. After stalking some street style, these booties seems to work with everything, but I think my favorite is when they are paired with a monochromatic look, similar to Olivia's above.

Thoughts on leopard booties? Which one's are your favorite?! I'm digging 2 & 3 - high on my christmas list this year!

Vested Interest

1(vegan) leather / 2 winter white  / 3 (faux) fur / 4 shearling / 5 menswear / 6 denim

This past weekend, I was outside for a little football tailgating and watching, and had an epiphany that a few vests would do my fall/winter wardrobe some good.

It seems like a there is a vest for any occasion - from fur to leather, they can be styled for a casual weekend errands or to add some punch to your everyday workwear (see above). I threw together some of my favorite options, but if you're looking for more I also love these picks: red leatherfrilly menswearcamo, & utility. I think I'm going to start my collection with a little fur, what about you? How are you wearing vests this fall?

Get the Look: Dressed-Up Sweats

I could kiss whoever made this trend popular. Ladies of the world, rejoice! - a fashion statement that is actually comfortable!

The more I browse online or look at street style, the more I am drawn to pairing sweatshirts with just about everything. They are so versatile, able to be dressed-up or down, and there is no shortage of options - from floral to graphic prints to leather. This fall & winter season, I plan on stocking up on a few different styles to wear with leather  or a full girly skirt for an unexpected look, or keeping it simple with boyfriend jeans and chucks.

Are you rocking the sweatshirt trend this year? If so, how are you wearing yours?!

Get the Look: Mara Hoffman

1. Shop Ruche Pleated Dress 2. Topshop Floral Digital Tank 3. MINKPINK Wanderer Coat 4. Nasty Gal Lush Life Skirt 5. Topshop Flower Print Blouse 6. H&M Printed Skirt 7. Nasty Gal Lavish Dress 8. Topshop Leopard Print Tunic Dress

Mara Hoffman has been one of my favorite designers ever since I saw a bikini of hers all over Pinterest. Her use of color and pattern to make unique, beautiful pieces feels so fresh (and makes we want to travel to Miami for some reason?). Her spring collection that I stalked was no exception, and left me wanting just about everything.

Then reality hits. And reality is not always so nice. While I would instantly snatch up every Mara Hoffman item if I could, this girl is ballin' on a budget (and I do mean and legit clothes budget) and good ole Mara Hoffman is just going to have to sit tight until that number skyrockets. Until that sweet day, we're going with the philosophy of "fake it 'till you make it" - here are some great looks that I think embody the Mara Hoffman style - enjoy!
