Wanderlust Wednesday // NYC

In our house, I am famous for saying "you know what we should do?..." followed by some amazing plan I have created in my head. These genius ideas range from where we should go to dinner, to where we should be living in five years. You may think I'm crazy (you'd be backed by my husband), but I think I'm just an ahead-of-my-time-idea-generator.

One idea that actually had traction was traveling somewhere for our anniversary every year. Our first anniversary is in November, and we have planned a trip to New York City (I've never been!) for the beginning of December - hello NYC Christmas! Even though our trip isn't for 5 more months, I'm already dreaming of it! If we were headed this summer, this outfit would be my go to - a crossbody bag is my absoulte favorite for long days and travel, since it's a chic, hands-free solution. Paired with casual jean shorts, a panama hat to shield the sun, and a medium heeled-sandal, I think I'd be set for the streets of New York!

Any great places we should hit during our stay in New York City? I've already starting compiling a mental list!

Lazy Pants

Let's be honest, Sundays are for lounging. The dilemma comes when you have to leave your house and look somewhat presentable. But behold, I have found the perfect solution - silk pants. These suckers are so comfortable, they rate just as high as pajamas on the comfort-meter.

I slipped these bad boys on for church followed by an amazing dinner outside at my mom's house Sunday night. The weather was fall-like, and although I will sink my teeth into summer as long as possible, not sweating through dinner outside was an exciting change of events.

A New Adventure

Two years ago,  I discovered my first, and still my one of favorite blogs, Cupcakes & Cashmere (she's the bomb!) and was instantly hooked -  and I mean really hooked. I  was instantly captivated by the fresh content that allowed me to discover new shops, encouraged me to slowly try new trends, and gave me a glimpse into the lives of women my age. Above all though, it seemed that documenting some of your life forced you to stop and appreciate the little things - something I think is so important.

After a lot of thought, I decided to dip my feet into the large ocean which is the blogging world. While I'm sure it will evolve with time, my vision for Clothed in Confetti is a celebration of all things beautiful, whether big or small. In my opinion, life is meant to be celebrated - perhaps even with a little confetti (get it?! - cheesy? perhaps but that's me). To the millions two friends who stopped by today, welcome to my small slice of the interwebs! Glad you are here! I can't promise much, but I'm excited to immerse myself into the blogging community, share my life, interests, and random thoughts with you.
