Reminiscing with Silk Scarves

My mother's collection of silk scarves, that were always tucked away in the back of her dresser next to her jewelry, held various roles in my childhood. When I was little they were coveted accessories while playing dress-up, fastened on my head for a 70's inspired costume (perhaps that is my next look!), inevitably made fun of during my teenage years for being "uncool" and pushed aside as I would sneak into my mother's room to try on her jewelry and dream of getting married someday.

Over the past few weeks I have been seeing silk scarves re-emerge and without my mother's stash handy, I pulled one from the back of my closet to accompany me on date night this weekend. It appears that silk scarves are once again a coveted accessory, but this time it is for the real world instead of the world my young imagination once created.

Sunday Browsing vol. 38

It finally feels like spring, can you even believe it?! Usually when weather like this happens I do a terrible job at taking advantage, but yesterday I kicked my rear in gear and was able to sneak in a run in the morning, enjoy a baseball game outside for my husband's brother, and even dine el fresco. It's astonishing how much of an impact a little sunshine & fresh air has on my mood because I feel like a new person.

I'm hoping to sneak in just as much time outdoors today, but when I am inside, you'll know I'll be checking out some of my fave links:
