Sunday Browsing vol. 54

I don't know about you, but I'm predicting tomorrow will be rough-city. After a long weekend hanging out with family and eating until I was ill, Monday is going to hit me like a ton of bricks. But as I sit here finishing up this post, my sweet 2 year old niece plays in the background and it's all worth it.

If you're smarter then me and taking this day to rest & recuperate, here are a few links I'm loving to accompany you.

Fringe Sweater

With the fall weather officially here, I'm reminded just how much I dislike getting dressed for the colder months. In spring & summer, wardrobe options seem endless, since you can easily throw on a dress, skirt or jeans and a simple top and not have to worry about catching a cold. With winter comes layering, tights and as a result my wardrobe feels like it has shrunk significantly.

However, a few weeks ago I picked up some winter wardrobe hope in the form of this sweater from H&M. It has just the right amount of detail but still keeps a girl cozy on breezy days. As a result, I've worn it every week and don't plan to stop. Crossing my fingers that I find a few more winter wardrobe rockstars to carry me through until April (yikes, long road ahead!).

H&M sweater / Urban Outfitters bandana / GiGi New York clutch / Zara jeans, love these from Topshop / Vince Camuto booties, similar herehere & here / old fedora, check out an option at ASOS

Sunday Browsing vol. 53

This weekend, I caved. On Friday night, something came over me and I turned on my Christmas Pandora station. Yes I know, it's still 2 weeks before Thanksgiving, but I'm not sorry. I've been enjoying those Bing Crosby tunes (old school Christmas is the only way to go) ever since and I'm pretty sure it's the highlight of my weekend.

Many years, the holidays feel like more of an obligation then a celebration, so I'm making a commitment to actually enjoy the season this year. Step one in my mission was premature Christmas music. I invite you to join me, it may even be the highlight of your weekend too.

Confetti Craves // November

clockwise from top right: cos bracelet / zara dress / nasty gal dress / nike tennis shoes (under $60!) / j.crew tee / anthropologie mittens / urban outfitters bandana / need supply co. watch

And just like that we are 10 days into November! Is anyone else scratching their head wondering how we're less then 20 days from Thanksgiving, or more importantly, Black Friday?

For the month that kicks off the season of celebration, I'm craving more of the details I have fallen in love with lately, like this patchwork dress that would look adorable with my new turtleneck and a bandana to add to my collection. Also, I think I'm the last person on the planet to not own a pair of nike free sneaks, which I plan to change since these are well under $100.

What's on your wishlist this month?!

Sunday Browsing vol. 52

A mix of plans & relaxation, this weekend allowed me to both sleep in and be somewhat productive. Today holds a schedule that is busier then I prefer, but I'm crossing my fingers that means this akee will be a little less crazy. Hey, a girl can dream right?

Here are my favorite links from the week, enjoy!

Around the World

Ever since I started following blogs in college, one of my favorite looks has been an effortless, slightly oversized graphic tee. The problem is, though, that finding that effortless, slightly oversized tee can be a bit of a challenge. The perfect combination of the right fit & non-obnoxius graphic is rare, which is why I was so excited when this shirt arrived, since it scores in both areas.

I may be a little biased (this awesome company also made our wedding invitations), but I haven't stopped wearing this shirt since it arrived a few weeks ago. In fact - confession time - I wore this exact same outfit Saturday night & Sunday - shhh, tell no one.

Forever 21 beanie / BlankNYC jacket / Ray-Ban sunglasses / The Oyster's Pearl tee c/o / GiGi New York clutch / Banana Republic jeans, similar from Madewell / Madewell heels, similar from Ivanka Trump (on sale!)  & ASOS
