Casa de Confetti: Art in Unexpected Places

While decorating our apartment this past year, I have quickly learned that art can come from an unexpected source, and doesn't have to cost a fortune.

A little while ago, I found this beer graphic in the Crate & Barrel catalog, and thought it would be perfect above our bar in the living room - I added a frame from Michael's and viola - art for less then $15! We also repurposed wrapping paper with a print of New York City, framed it and hung it above our couch. As we continue to decorate I'm keeping my eyes on these fun graphicsmap prints, and all that rifle paper & co. has to offer.

Have you found art in unconventional places? I'd love to know!

  1. Jenna! You should come into Paper Source at Easton! I work there!

Also, I wanted to write this yesterday - I'm not sure if you are trying to blog about this or not but I would be so interested to read about what all goes into planning the events around your friends weddings! Just an idea! :)

    Hope you're doing well!

  2. So funny- We did the same exact thing with that page from the catalog. It was the first thing I've ever hung on the wall that had my boyfriend's instant approval.

  3. This is such a great idea! My bf loves craft beer (to the point that he wants to buy a brewing system for our house - that's another story ;) and something like this would make a great xmas gift for him!

  4. love that print - perfect over your bar! I'm lucky to have a sister that paints, so most of my art comes from her, but I LOVE prints!
