Confession- I know absolutely nothing about wine (gasp!). Two points of proof - 1) at a wine tasting this summer a friend and I literally went to every vendor and asked for their sweetest wine 2) I don't even like red wine, which apparently all serious drinkers do.
If you're embarrassed or ashamed on my behalf don't be - I know I'm a wine joke, and as I like to say, self awareness is half the battle. Although Napa Valley may not be your first thought for travel knowing my extensive expertise, I can't think of a better place to buff up my knowledge and palate. Plus, I can't think of a more perfect destination for the fall, sipping wine in the crisp air.
Are you a wine connoisseur or a novice like me? Any good recommendations?!
I actually don't like red wine either! I feel like such a novice when I'm with my older sister and her friends and they're all drinking some and I just reach for the riesling. Cute outfits though and I hope you have a fabulous trip!

I drink a lot of wine and I am SO into whites lately, even in cool weather. The best part about wine is you should drink whatever you like :) But if you want to get to know reds, lighter European styles are a good place to start, like French Burgundies or Italian Alto Adiges. Look for reds in the 12-12.5% alcohol range. Cheers!

Courtney, this is SUCH good information thank you! I would have never known where to start! I'll be thinking of you when I try some reds! :)
